Joshua Reynolds back to trialing

16th January, 2019

The old adage that it takes twleve months for a Nothern Hemisphere import to fully acclimatise couldn't be more true with our UK import Joshua Reynolds, who has been a glaring reminder to shareowners that 'patience is a virtue' in horse racing.

Since arriving in January 2018, Joshua Reynolds has taken his time to adapt to Australian conditions, particularly the different training environments which saw him unsettled and anxious living in the metropolitan environment of Royal Randwick. Disappointing in his first preparation, Joshua Reynolds is now in the care of the Hayes, Hayes and Dabernig partnership at their world-class training facilities at Euroa. Moulded slightly to the English training environment, with plenty of space and natural scenery, Joshua Reynolds has settled back into a lovely training rhythm and is working well towards into his second racing preparation for Highclere shareowners following his first trial of the season at Bendigo where he finished off the trial in pleasing fashion over the unsuitable 1000m sprint distance.

Joshua Reynolds won his races over 2600m+ in the UK and we're looking forward to getting him back to the races for his patient shareowners where staying prizemoney in Melbourne is at all all time high of $135,000 per race!
