HIGHCLERE RACING’S WEEKLY NEWS

11/1/2023
Welcome back to our first weekly news of 2023.
This week saw 2 Highclere runners at the race track. Highland Cathedral ran at Wyong but unfortunately from the wide barrier she was too far back and over an unsuitable distance it wasn’t an ideal run. She will still take benefit from the run and hopefully over a longer distance and a better barrier next start we can see the best of her. She has always shown staying ability so these are just fitness runs to get her over a trip.
Hint of Stars has had a luckless time since being imported to Australia but Matt Cumani has done a wonderful job with him and it was exciting to see him step out over 1700m at Warrnambool on Sunday. Running third was a terrific way to step out and he looks a treat showing he has acclimatised well and based on that run we look forward to what he can do over even further next start.
In other exciting news for the team, Durston is back at Chris Waller’s Stable and looking to have a trial and he gets ready to return to racing in the Autumn. He continues to please everyone and after a highly successful campaign last preparation we can’t wait to see what he can do in 2023.
Armageddon has had a couple of trials for the Bjorn Baker stable as he edges closer to making his debut run and Korolev is also back in work with the Maher Eustace stable so it won’t be long before we see both these young horses at the racetrack.
Olympic Theatre, Great House and Bartholomeu Dias are all still in the spelling paddock but with Autumn on their agendas, it won’t be long before they return to training.
It is exciting times for the team and although we are not active at the Magic Millions this year we still have some shares available in tried horses that you won’t need to wait long to see them on the track, so if you don’t want to wait, email info@highclereracing.com.au now and secure a share in a Highclere horse today.
As always, keep an eye on our socials for all our runners and exciting news to come in the coming weeks.
