HIGHCLERE WEEKLY NEWS

13/12/2022
It was a busy week at Highclere Racing Australia with 3 Highclere horses heading to the races. Olympic Theatre ran at Warwick Farm on Wednesday over 2400m. Unfortunately, he is finding it hard to let down on the firmer tracks but other than that he is in terrific order and looks a treat. He will have a short freshen-up and come back in early Autumn when the tracks start to soften up.
Bartholomeu Dias returned after a little stint at the beach running in the Group 2 Ingham at Randwick on Saturday, 1600m is short of his best distance but he was terrific and hit the line really strongly. It was a race full of good horses and to beat some classy ones home shows just how good he is going. It is very exciting to see him back to his best.
Highland Cathedral was due to return on Saturday at Kembla Grange, but unfortunately, she was scratched at the barriers. The vets have gone over her and she appears in good order so we will push forward, she is likely to return this weekend but she is in a couple of options so make sure you check out the socials to know when she will return, Wherever she lines up she is a filly that has always shown she will get out over distance so the 1200m will just be a kick off point and there are no expectations going into the run.
As mentioned last week Armageddon is also back in work and coming along nicely, he is likely to have a trial prior to Christmas and hopefully, he can kick off the New Year for Highclere racing in style. Hint of Stars is also shaping up nicely and will also feature in our runners early in the New Year.
That’s all from the Highclere team from now but we will be back with the last Highclere Weekly News for 2022.
