HIGHCLERE WEEKLY NEWS
1/3/2023
It is certainly starting to feel like Autumn, not necessarily the weather as we know that never knows what it is doing but we are talking about the horses. Great House had a little jump out on Monday and will head to a trial then it is off to the races, all going well on the 25th of March. He had a few excuses last preparation but has been working well so we hope to see the best of him this preparation.
Speaking of great preparations, Cup Day winner Bartholomeu Dias is heading back into the Annabel Neasham stable and is looking a treat. He was terrific last time and although an 8-year-old he isn’t showing signs of slowing down so let's hope he can continue his great form.
Olympic Theatre is also progressing well heading to a trial in the next few weeks and Korolev is enjoying his work at the Ciaron Maher stables at Ballarat.
Onto the runners and Highland Cathedral is nominated for a few options in the coming week. She didn’t handle the hot weather last start but her form prior has been terrific and she has worked well since so hopefully wherever she lines up she can bounce back to her better form.
Hint of Stars finished off nicely at Sandown a couple of weeks ago, he appreciated the longer trip but would benefit from getting out over even longer. The Cumani Stable are keeping options open but you could see him feature in an Adelaide Cup if all goes well.
That is all on the runner front this week so not a lot to report but we hope for some exciting times ahead.
We also have an exciting announcement coming soon so make sure you keep an eye on our socials so you don’t miss a thing.
