HIGHCLERE WEEKLY NEWS

13/5/23
It has been a fantastic week for Highclere Australia with Naval College winning his first Australian race at only his second start. Ridden by apprentice Jett Stanley he was given a peach of a ride and went away with a nice victory. Congratulations to all the connections involved and to trainer Annabel Neasham and Jockey, Jett Stanley. It was also very fitting that he won the week of the King’s Coronation having been bred and raced by the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Unfortunately, Korolev received all bad luck at Ballarat on Tuesday when never given clear room and having to draw a line through that run.
Bartholomeu Dias resumed in the Scone Cup yesterday, he always improves with a few runs under his belt and he did work to the line well suggesting as we get deeper into the preparation and get out over further he can still perform well despite being an 8YO rising 9YO.
Olympic Theatre was meant to run at Scone today but was scratched in preference to run at Warwick Farm on Wednesday instead, so we look forward to seeing him run there.
Hint of Stars could be making a trip to Sydney to line up at Rosehill on the 20th of May but there are also options closer to home so a decision hasn’t been made as yet.
Highland Cathedral is enjoying her pre-training while Durston is going well in his rehabilitation, Two horses we can’t wait to see return.
That’s all for this week but as always stay tuned to our socials for all the up-to-date information.
