HIGHCLERE WEEKLY NEWS

2/6/23
Naval College was terrific on Saturday making it 2 wins from 3 Australian starts and arguably should be unbeaten on Australian soil after an unlucky debut run. Nevertheless, Jett Stanley gave him another terrific ride and they got the job done.
Korolev was also terrific prior to that winning his maiden at Ballarat with Linda Meech on board. He appeared to still do a few things wrong but with a great front-running ride from Linda, he was too strong at the finish. He will now head back to the Ballarat synthetic on Monday and hopefully, we can emulate the same result.
Talking of emulating the same result, Bartholomeu Dias has headed up to Queensland where he will run at Eagle Farm on Saturday over 1800m with Jayden Lloyd on board. He won with the same 3 factors last year so hopefully, he can do it again. He has come through his run well and 1800m seems to be his sweet spot so hopefully the luck is in his favour on Saturday.
Olympic Theatre has also come through his run well he will continue to step out in distance and like to run at Warwick Farm next Monday, although he is also nominated for other options during the week. Wherever he lines up he can be competitive but likely to be a winning chance when he gets out over a little further.
We are pleased to report that Durston continues to improve with his rehabilitation and looks very well in himself. It is a long road but it is all very pleasing to date.
Highland Cathedral is also progressing well and has recently moved to the Annabel Neasham stable. Hopefully, it won’t be long until she is up to doing some faster work.
Unfortunately, Great House, who was due to run last weekend, has a small injury, it was picked up very quickly by the stable and he is now out resting and will hopefully be right to return to work in the coming months.
Highclere has certainly experienced the ups and downs of racing but hopefully, there is some more good luck on the way with the upcoming runners.
That is all for this week's Weekly News but make sure you check back next week for another edition and in the meantime check out the socials to make sure you don’t miss a thing.
