HIGHCLERE RACING'S WEEKLY NEWS

30/6/23
Naval College has hit the ground running since he arrived in Australia, his last start was another terrific run, finishing 3rd. Tomorrow we are hoping he can regain his winning form as he steps out over 2400m with Chad Schofield on board at Rosehill.
Highland Cathedral who has had a stable change and is now in the Annabel Neasaham team trialled this morning, finishing 5th. It was too short but she did hit the line well so hopefully she can have a little bit of luck when she returns to the track.
Bartholomeu Dias hasn’t fired as we had hoped for this preparation, but he is enjoying some time at the beach before he runs again in the middle of July.
Olympic Theatre has had a few setbacks but is back on track now and looking to return to the races on Wednesday. He is likely to find it too short, but we look forward to stepping him out over longer this preparation and the Winter tracks will be to his liking.
Korolev found it hard to overcome the wide draw last start but he was in good form prior so with the right luck next start hopefully he can bounce back to that better form. He is well and has shown a liking to his home track at Ballarat on the synthetic surface.
We are also pleased to continue to report that Durston is continuing to improve in his rehabilitation and isn’t far off returning to work, while Great House is enjoying his time out so there won’t be much to report on him in the coming weeks but with how quickly this year is passing we are sure it won’t feel like long before he is back in the stables.
On the Off The Track front, keep an eye on our socials over the coming days as we have an update on Lord Belvedere. We will also continue to update on Grinling and all his antics, if you follow us on socials you will know he is currently being retrained with new owner, Claudia, who has been having a lot of ‘fun’ with his quirky nature. We love sharing all the updates with you so make sure you follow us on socials to keep up to date with all the Highclere horses, on and off the track.
