HIGHCLERE RACING'S WEEKLY NEWS

31/8/22
It has been a big week for Highclere Australia with Bartholomeu Dias returning to the winner's stall at Eagle Farm on Saturday. Given a lovely ride by Brodie Loy, Bart relaxed in the back half of the field and finished off strong to claim victory. It certainly is a racing style that has your heart in your mouth but the 8YO is going strong and we can’t wait to see him take on the Toowoomba Cup next start.
Olympic Theatre also made his return on Saturday but the race was not run to suit and he will be much better with that run under the belt as he gets over his preferred distance of 2000m Plus.
We now look forward to another busy weekend. We have Durston lining up on either Friday at Wyong or Saturday at Moonee Valley, unfortunately, he has drawn poorly at both venues but hopefully with a run under his belt he can relax a little more and have one crack at them. Great House also lines up this weekend in the Chelsmford Stakes at Randwick on Saturday. Naturally, 1600m is short of his best, but it is a nice kickoff point as we head towards the Melbourne Cup in November and then Monday Korolev is entered to make his debut at Wodonga.
An action-packed week for Highclere Racing Australia and exciting things to come for the Spring.
