HIGHCLERE RACING WEEKLY NEWS

6/5/23
This week saw Hint of Stars line up at the famous Warrnambool Carnival. The race was a little short of his preferred distance but he ran ok, especially given the fact the rain came down not long before his race. He has come through the run well and looks like he will head up to Sydney for his next start later in May.
Yesterday Great House ran in the Listed Wagga Wagga Gold Cup. Unfortunately, he was a little disappointing as he appeared a little flat-footed in the straight and didn’t finish off like he did last start. Hopefully, he was just having an off day and we see the real Great House at his next start which will likely be later this month,
It’s a busy week for Highclere Racing Australia with Korolev likely to run on Tuesday, Bartholomeu Dias making his return at Scone on Friday and Naval College looking to go one better than last start when he lines up at Scone on Saturday, he is also entered for Kensington on Wednesday but Saturday look the preferred option. Olympic Theatre is also coming along well and won’t be long before we see him at the races.
Highland Cathedral is also back in work, just building her fitness and Durston is also back for stage 2 of his rehabilitation. It is a long journey but he looks well which is great to see.
If you are following us on our socials you would've seen Grinling at his new home. He is settling in very well and we can't wait to continue to track his progress and he continues his retraining journey.
We will leave it there this week but for all the UK owners and followers, Happy Coronation Day!
