Dartmouth is sired by the great, Dubawi out of a daughter of Galileo in Galatee.
He was born in 2012 and raced from 2014 - 2017 before becoming a stallion. He was trained by Sir Michael Stoute and raced by the late Queen Elizabeth II who continued to breed with him when he went to stud.
Dartmouth has raced at Ascot-GB, Chelmsford City-GB, Chester-GB, Curragh-IRE, Goodwood-GB, Kempton Park-GB, Newbury-GB, Sandown-GB, Woodbine, York-GB with wins at Ascot-GB, Chelmsford City-GB, Chester-GB, Goodwood-GB, Sandown-GB, York-GB.
He was the winner of the Group 1 Canadian International. He was also the winner of the Group 2 Hardwick Stakes, Yorkshire Cup and Lonsdale Cup and Group 3 winner of John Porter Stakes and Ormonde Stakes, beating the likes of Highland Reel, Simple Verse, High Jinx and Sound of Freedom just to name a few.
He is the sire of Naval College whom the late Queen bred and raced before he was imported to Australia in early 2023 to be trained by Annabel Neasham and raced by Highclere Racing Australia. Naval College has now won 2 of his 3 Australian starts.
